An established and award-winning Property Consultancy is looking to strengthen its team with Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Intermediate Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors in their Sunderland office. The Sunderland office is the company's longest-established office, having been at the heart of the business since its inception 20 years ago. The consultancy has built a strong reputation across the North East, delivering a diverse range of projects for public and private sector clients across Commercial, Health, Local Authority, Residential and Education sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a genuinely people-focused consultancy that offers a highly flexible working environment, strong APC support and the opportunity to work on interesting projects from inception through to completion. Projects include new-build offices, public realm and infrastructure schemes, GP refurbishments and extensions, new-build hospitals, residential developments, colleges and major university projects ranging up to £80 mil. The Role: Depending on experience, you'll support or lead projects across the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients, contractors and wider project teams to deliver successful commercial outcomes. The consultancy works across both NEC and JCT contracts, with projects ranging from GP refurbishments and residential developments through to new-build commercial, education and healthcare schemes. Senior-level candidates will be expected to take greater ownership of projects and client relationships, while Assistant and Intermediate Quantity Surveyors will benefit from hands-on experience and structured development towards professional qualification. The role is based from the Sunderland office, with travel required across the North East. The business operates a flexible hybrid model, typically working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, with flexibility around individual working preferences. Ideal Candidate: Quantity Surveyor with experience appropriate to Assistant, Intermediate or Senior level. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, ideally working towards or holding MRICS. Experience within a consultancy/PQS environment is preferred, although relevant Main Contractor experience will also be considered. Experience working with NEC and/or JCT contracts. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage or contribute to projects through multiple stages. Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and project teams. For Senior-level candidates, experience managing projects independently and taking ownership of client relationships is preferred. Motivated to develop professionally, with a willingness to work towards chartership where not already qualified. Why apply? £28,000–£60,000 salary, depending on experience and level.
