Building Surveyor

A great opportunity has come up for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a large, well-established consultancy who offer the full range of Building Surveying services to its clients.\\n\\nThe company offers great progression opportunities as well as APC training, so ideal for someone looking for the next step up in their career or a seasoned Surveyor looking for a new challenge. \\n\\nIdeally, the candidate should have a minimum of 3-4 years consultancy experience and be able to evidence a broad working knowledge of a range of building surveying services across different client sectors. They should be able to work independently but have a strong team spirit and a positive attitude to service delivery. The works will be carried out for clients within various sectors including Hotels, Build Environment, Local Authority/ Councils so experience in same or similar sectors preferred but not essential.\\n\\nThe company offers great progression opportunities as well as APC training, so ideal for someone looking for the next step up in their career or a seasoned Surveyor looking for a new challenge. \\n\\nThey should also:\\n\\nBe able to produce carefully prepared, accurate work and have good report writing skills.  \\nBe confident with presentations whether written or verbal and have strong numeracy skills.  \\nHave an operational awareness of administrative and project cost management and understand the principals of a commercially focused delivery and the effective use resources.  \\nHave the ability to prioritise conflicting workloads and manages own time.  \\nPresent a professional image especially when client facing and able to demonstrate a confident persona and have good negotiation skills.  \\nCapable of working alone but is a strong team player and is willing and able to support the development of a Building Surveying team.  \\nDemonstrates ambition and commitment to self and business development.  \\nBe Computer Literate specifically in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.  \\nWilling to travel as project commissions require.  \\nHold a full driving licence.  \\n\\nCandidate should be able to deliver core building surveying services such as:  \\n\\nDeveloping Client Briefs\\nContract Administration / Project delivery.  \\nDilapidations / Landlord and Tenant.  \\nParty Wall.  \\nJCT Contract Administration (Minor and IF).  \\nDefect analysis and rectifications.  \\nTechnical Compliance Roles.  \\nSpecification writing.  \\nProducing schedules of work.  \\nDesign (Experience of using AutoCAD an advantage).  \\nMy client offers an individually focused and competitive package for the right candidate; inclusive of Pension, Company Car Allowance, Healthcare Life Insurance and more. \\n\\nTo apply send a CV in response to this advert or contact Ben Houlihan on (phone number removed) for more information
