This is a growth hire with a clear remit: build revenue through new logo wins with institutional investors, primarily asset managers, hedge funds, and other professional investment organisations.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and closing new business across Europe, working with a suite of premium macro, equity, and strategy research products. The role is focused on net new revenue, rather than account management, and suits someone who enjoys hunting, prospecting, and owning the full sales cycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a new business strategy across continental European markets
- Prospecting, pitching, and closing new institutional clients
- Managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to contract execution
- Working closely with senior research leadership to position content effectively with CIOs, PMs, and senior allocators
- Representing the firm at industry events and client meetings across Europe
Target Profile
This role will suit someone who already understands how institutional research is bought and sold and is comfortable engaging senior investment professionals.
Ideal background:
- 4β8 yearsβ experience in sales or business development within financial services (SaaS/data/research/expert network)
- Experience selling investment research, data, or advisory services to institutional clients
- Demonstrable track record of winning new business, ideally across European markets
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to sell consultatively rather than transactionally
- Comfortable working autonomously while being part of a lean, high-performing commercial team
- European language skills are helpful but not essential; cultural fluency and experience selling into continental Europe is more important.
The Opportunity
Join a respected research platform with a long-term commitment to Europe. Clear focus on new business, with strong internal support from senior stakeholders. Opportunity to grow into a more senior commercial role as the European business scales. Competitive compensation package with upside linked to performance.
