Our client, a global provider of independent investment research, market insights, and proprietary data, is seeking a commercially driven salesperson to secure new institutional clients across the UK and Europe. This role is dedicated to new logo acquisition, selling a suite of high-value research content — including cross-asset insights, macroeconomic analysis, data products, and analyst access — to sophisticated investment organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire and onboard new institutional clients, expanding the reach of the firm’s research and data products across asset managers, hedge funds, and other professional investors.
- Execute the full commercial lifecycle: targeted prospecting, pitch delivery, content trials, commercial negotiation, and contract close.
- Position differentiated investment research, proprietary data sets, dashboards, and thematic content to support client portfolio decisions.
- Engage senior stakeholders — PMs, analysts, strategists, CIOs — and build trusted commercial relationships.
- Work with research and product teams to ensure clients receive relevant, actionable insights.
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
Candidate Profile
- 3–8+ years in institutional research/data sales or a closely related investment services environment.
- Strong track record of winning and converting new institutional accounts.
- Ability to clearly articulate how research and data deliver investment performance advantage.
- Understanding of macroeconomics and capital markets, enabling credible conversations with senior investors.
- Highly driven, well-organised, and comfortable operating in a competitive, target-led environment.
- Additional European language skills are a benefit, but not essential.
Location & Work Model
Based in London with regional travel as required. Hybrid working environment.
