Our client is a fast-growing, PE-backed research and data firm whose work has become essential reading for hedge funds and asset managers worldwide. They don't sell another macro research product β€” they tell investors what other investors are actually doing: positioning, flows, sentiment and crowding across markets, the intelligence that moves trades. Their work is consumed every day by portfolio managers, strategists and traders at many of the world's leading funds.

Backed by private equity and propelled by a recent merger that significantly expands their platform and reach, the firm is adding firepower to its London sales team. This is a new-business seat covering sophisticated macro and multi-asset investors across the UK and Europe β€” with a differentiated product that buyers genuinely want to hear about. This is a hunter's role with real earnings upside, not an account-management desk. You'll be selling something distinctive into a buyer universe that are eager to receive this type of product.

What you'll do:

  • Win new business across hedge funds, multi-manager platforms and asset managers in the UK and Europe
  • Prospect, run the full sales cycle, and close front-office subscribers (PMs, strategists, traders)
  • Carry and exceed a new-business revenue target
  • Become a credible voice on markets, positioning and investor behaviour with sophisticated buyers
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers across the buy side
  • Work closely with the wider sales team and research desk to grow the franchise

What we're looking for:

  • A new-business hunter in institutional sales β€” selling investment research, market intelligence, alternative data, analytics or related products to investors
  • Relationships across hedge funds and/or asset managers (PMs, analysts, allocators)
  • Markets fluency β€” you can hold a genuine conversation with a portfolio manager about positioning and portfolio implications
  • High discipline and a strong, repeatable sales process
  • Comfortable operating without the scaffolding of a large organisation β€” resourceful and self-driven
  • Hunger, drive and ownership

This role will suit someone who has sold into front-office institutional investors. It is less likely to suit candidates from corporate or enterprise software sales without markets exposure.
