Our client is a fast-growing, PE-backed research and data firm whose work is essential reading for hedge funds and asset managers worldwide. Rather than another equity research product, they tell investors what other investors are actually doing β positioning, flows, sentiment and crowding at the single-name and sector level β the intelligence that moves equity trades. Their work is read every day by portfolio managers, analysts and traders at many of the world's leading funds. Backed by private equity and propelled by a recent merger that significantly expands their platform, the firm is building out its single-stock equity coverage and adding to its London sales team. This is an early, high-ownership seat: you'll grow the equity client base across the UK and Europe with a genuinely differentiated product behind you. This is a hunter's role with real earnings upside. If you know the single-stock buy side β the bottom-up and long/short equity PMs and analysts who live and die by positioning β this is your client base.
What you'll do:
- Build and grow a client base of equity investors across the UK and Europe β long/short funds, fundamental and multi-manager equity PMs and analysts
- Win new business end to end β prospect, run the full cycle, and close front-office subscribers
- Carry and exceed a new-business revenue target as single-stock coverage scales
- Translate single-name positioning and flow intelligence into a compelling, credible pitch to equity PMs
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers across the equity buy side
- Work with the research team and wider desk to shape the single-stock offering
What we're looking for:
- A new-business hunter in institutional sales who has covered bottom-up / long-short equity PMs and analysts as clients
- Proven track record building relationships across the single-stock equity buy side (long/short, fundamental, multi-manager pods)
- Background selling investment research, market intelligence, alternative data or analytics to equity investors
- Markets fluency β you can talk equity investment strategy credibly with a PM
- High discipline and a strong, repeatable sales process; resourceful without big-organisation support
- Hunger, drive and ownership
This role will suit someone who has sold into front-office equity investors. It is less likely to suit candidates from corporate or enterprise software sales without markets exposure.
