Sell alternative data and analytics that hedge funds already trust. Our client is a well-regarded, PE-backed capital markets data and analytics platform - established over 15 years, recently strengthened by a notable acquisition, and consumed daily by PMs, strategists and traders at many of the world's leading funds. Their edge is a live read on what other investors are actually doing - positioning, flows, sentiment and crowding - delivered as data, analytics and research.
If you've sold alternative data, market intelligence, analytics or SaaS into front-office investors, this seat is built for your exact skill set: the buyer is the same, the subscription motion is the same, and the product education is theirs to give.
The firm is adding firepower to its London sales team. The model is already proven with a strong sales team already performing well. This is a new-business seat covering sophisticated investors across the UK and Europe - an open territory, a differentiated product that buyers genuinely want to hear about, and a hunter's role with real earnings upside.
Compensation: base up to £100,000 + bonus; indicative total earnings ~£150,000-£200,000.
What you’ll do:
- Win new business across hedge funds, multi-manager platforms and asset managers in the UK and Europe
- Prospect, run the full sales cycle, and close front-office subscribers (PMs, strategists, traders, quant teams)
- Carry and exceed a new-business revenue target with genuine deal velocity
- Turn positioning and flow data into credible conversations with sophisticated buyers
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers across the buy side
- Work closely with the wider sales team and research desk to grow the franchise
What we’re looking for:
- A proven new-business hunter with a track record of driving recurring revenue - subscription/ARR sales in alternative data, analytics, market intelligence or research
- Relationships across hedge funds and/or active asset managers (PMs, analysts, data-buying teams)
- Comfortable talking to portfolio managers about how they invest - the investment process as much as the product
- High discipline, energy, and a strong repeatable sales process
- Resourceful and self-driven - comfortable without big-firm scaffolding
