The Role
We are seeking an Equity Strategist (Senior Associate / VP) to join a high-impact research team. The focus will be on generating differentiated views on equity markets, centered on investor behavior, cross-asset positioning, and macro-political drivers. The research is tactical in nature – typically framed over a 3-month horizon – providing timely and actionable insights that help institutional investors adjust positioning around major market events.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce clear, original research on global equity markets with a focus on flows, positioning, and sentiment.
- Frame ideas around tactical horizons (weeks to ~3 months) to highlight near-term risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to core flagship publications and client communications with sharp, actionable ideas.
- Use data (Bloomberg, FactSet, positioning datasets, or equivalent) alongside cross-asset frameworks to generate insights.
- Engage with hedge funds, asset managers, and institutional investors through calls, presentations, and bespoke projects.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years’ experience in equity strategy, macro strategy, or related research (sell-side, buy-side, or independent).
- Strong grasp of equity market drivers and the role of flows and positioning in shaping near-term performance.
- Analytical comfort with market data and the ability to turn quantitative findings into a compelling narrative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident engaging with senior investors.
