We’re partnering with a fast-growing independent investment research and data provider looking to hire an Associate – Institutional Sales to support expansion across institutional clients globally. This firm delivers highly tactical macro insights alongside proprietary positioning and flow data used by hedge funds, asset managers, banks, and other sophisticated investors. The role sits within a small, high-impact commercial team and offers real exposure to senior clients from day one.
The Role
You will help drive growth across institutional clients, building relationships, originating opportunities, and supporting the full sales cycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and developing a pipeline of institutional prospects across hedge funds, asset managers, banks, and family offices
- Supporting product demonstrations and client engagement across research and data offerings
- Managing outreach campaigns and nurturing inbound leads
- Assisting with negotiations and commercial discussions through to close
- Maintaining accurate CRM reporting and pipeline visibility
- Acting as a key day-to-day contact for clients within your region
Candidate Profile
We’re interested in candidates who combine strong commercial instincts with an interest in financial markets. Ideal background:
- 2+ years in institutional sales, client coverage, or business development
- Experience in financial research, data platforms, market intelligence, or similar environments preferred
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging sophisticated investors
- Demonstrated ability to manage pipelines and work toward revenue targets
- Good understanding of financial markets (macro, positioning, or flows helpful but not essential)
