We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced eLearning Designer to join our client’s collaborative and growing learning team. This is a newly created role that will play a key part in bringing more learning design and content development expertise in-house, reducing reliance on external suppliers and helping shape the future of digital learning delivery.

  • Salary: ca £34,000 - £37,000 per annum
  • Location: Hybrid – home working with 2 days per week in the office in central London

The role

As an eLearning Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and enhancing online learning content, ensuring a high standard of instructional design, learner engagement and user experience. This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of online learning programmes, developing engaging, interactive learning experiences that support professional audiences. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, editors and project teams to transform content into high-quality digital learning resources.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing engaging and interactive eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Creating storyboards and learning journeys from source materials and subject matter expert content.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to guide content development and module design.
  • Designing interactive exercises, knowledge checks and learner assessments.
  • Supporting the production and editing of multimedia content, including video, audio and podcasts.
  • Reviewing and enhancing existing eLearning templates and introducing new approaches to improve learner engagement.
  • Quality assuring content for accuracy, consistency, accessibility and learner experience.
  • Supporting the management and publication of learning content through the learning platform.

About you

We are keen to hear from candidates with strong instructional design and eLearning development experience who can confidently take content from written draft through to an engaging digital learning solution.

  • Proven experience creating eLearning content using Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Strong instructional design skills and understanding of online learning principles.
  • Experience transforming written content into engaging digital learning modules.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and stakeholders throughout the content development process.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.
  • The confidence to work independently, manage multiple priorities and proactively contribute ideas.
  • Strong writing, editing and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience with video and audio editing.

Desirable

  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), ideally D2L Brightspace or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools and multimedia content creation.
  • Experience with Vyond or similar animation tools.
  • Experience within healthcare, medical, professional education, membership organisations or regulated sectors.
