Key Contributions:
- Oversee IT operations across infrastructure, applications, networks, and end-user services, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage strategic relationships with external IT partners, driving service quality, accountability, and value from outsourced contracts.
- Implement and assure robust cybersecurity controls, including vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response readiness.
- Own IT service governance, including service catalogue, SLAs/KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective cost management of IT services, including hosting, change requests, and supplier spend.
- Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring resilience of critical services.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements, supporting audits and governance frameworks.
- Drive a customer-first, high-performance culture while influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing large IT outsourcing contracts in the Insurance and ideally Insurance Broking sector.
- Extensive hands-on experience across infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and application management.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, including vulnerability management, patching governance, and secure-by-design principles.
- Proven capability in managing ITIL-aligned service management processes (incident, problem, change, and release management).
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and FCA requirements (preferred).
- Professional certifications (ITIL, CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure, or similar) beneficial.
