The Apprentice Administrator will support the day-to-day operations of Fixfirm Limited, assisting with Reception, Finance, and general administration. You’ll carry out a variety of administrative tasks, helping the office run efficiently while providing a professional and welcoming service to colleagues and visitors.

FixFirm is a small, friendly team selling a large range of products to the construction industry and related trades with a pleasant office and working environment.

This is a developmental role designed to support the postholder in gaining practical experience and a formal qualification in Business Administration. The apprenticeship will offer exposure to a range of business processes and administrative systems, developing essential professional and organisational skills within a supportive environment.

To provide efficient, professional, and confidential administrative support across multiple departments within Fixfirm, while ensuring exceptional front‑of‑house service and contributing to the delivery of effective operations. Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Administrative Support – Provide administrative assistance to the team, including document preparation, filing, scanning, and record maintenance; support recruitment processes, including job advertising and monitoring of applications; support internal communication and engagement initiatives, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Finance Administration – Assist the Finance team with routine administrative and clerical tasks, including invoice entry, purchase‑order processing, and document filing; assist with credit control, building successful relationships with customers and suppliers through positive communication; maintain accurate and organised financial records for audit and reporting purposes; provide data‑entry and reconciliation support as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • General Office Administration – Support office management tasks including stationery orders, office supplies, and maintenance coordination; assist with the organisation of internal meetings, training sessions, and company events; contribute to the improvement of administrative processes and interdepartmental coordination.

The successful candidate will receive mentoring and structured training while developing professional, technical, and interpersonal skills essential for a successful career in business administration. We have taken on most of our apprentices into a full‑time role once their course is completed.

Working Arrangements: Working Week: Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm; or 8am to 4pm, Expected Duration: 1 Year 9 Months, Training Provider: LINCOLN COLLEGE.
