We are seeking a qualified or experienced Fire Engineer to join our team covering North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, repairing and upgrading Fire Alarm and AOV systems across domestic and commercial properties, primarily within the social housing and local authority sectors. All work must be completed to a consistently high standard, using technical expertise in line with industry regulations and company expectations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret fire alarm and AOV drawings and specifications where required
- Install, service, maintain, repair, and adapt fire alarm and AOV systems
- Carry out full system installations and upgrades
- Complete scheduled servicing and inspections
- Demonstrate competence with a wide range of fire alarm control panels and equipment, including closed protocol systems
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and BS 5839 regulations
- Complete all job reports and certification accurately using the Oneserve application
- Work safely and in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and fire safety standards
- Attend and complete all company-provided training
- Participate in performance reviews, improvement programmes, and appraisals
- Liaise effectively with office staff and supervisors to resolve queries
- Adhere to company KPIs and operational standards
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by management
Qualifications
- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification
- FIA training and certification
- FIA AO Level 3 in Fire Detection and Alarm Design Theory and Regulatory Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the fire safety industry
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
