The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team, working across a variety of domestic and commercial properties, primarily within social housing and local authority sectors.

Your core hours will be Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.

This role involves carrying out a wide range of electrical maintenance works including basic accessory changes, consumer unit upgrades, lighting upgrades, fault finding, minor installation works, emergency lighting repairs, basic ventilation works, and mains fire alarm works.

You will be responsible for completing all assigned jobs to a high standard while using your technical knowledge and practical skills to deliver safe, compliant, and customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works across domestic and commercial properties
  • Complete consumer unit upgrades, lighting upgrades, accessory replacements, and minor installation works
  • Diagnose, identify, and report electrical faults accurately
  • Carry out emergency lighting repairs, basic ventilation works, and mains fire alarm maintenance
  • Interpret electrical and site drawings where required
  • Complete all job sheets, reports, and documentation using the Oneserve application accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and colleagues
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Work safely in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations and relevant electrical legislation
  • Take part in training and support continuous business improvement
  • Carry out additional duties as required by management
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance works
  • Experience working within domestic and commercial environments
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings when required
  • Competent using mobile devices to complete electronic job sheets
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and good timekeeping
  • What You Will Have
  • L3 Electrical Installations Diploma
  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (or equivalent - preferred)
  • AM2 Assessment (preferred)
  • Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391-51)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18)
  • Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
