We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician who has experience with Solar PV install & servicing. The successful candidate will be involved in but not limited to the following works:
- Electrical reactive maintenance, testing & inspection
- Electrical installation
- Installation, maintenance & servicing of small-scale solar PV systems
The role will involve working across a variety of domestic properties, primarily within the social housing and local authority sectors. All work must be completed to a consistently high standard, using technical expertise in line with industry regulations and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing works as required.
- Install, service, maintain & repair solar PV systems.
- Demonstrate competence with a wide range of solar PV systems and equipment, including monitoring devices.
- Have a good understanding of electrical systems and be able to identify/report faults.
- Interpret electrical/site drawings when necessary.
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and BS 2922-34 regulations.
- Complete all job reports and certification accurately.
- Work safely and in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and fire safety standards.
- Attend and complete all company-provided training.
- Participate in performance reviews, improvement programmes, and appraisals.
- Liaise effectively with office staff and supervisors to resolve queries.
- Adhere to company KPIs and operational standards.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by management.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
- C&G 2922-34 Level 3 - Installation & Maintenance of Small-Scale PV Systems or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months).
- 18th Edition C&G 2382 or equivalent.
- C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the electrical industry.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the solar PV industry.
