Temp to Perm position after 12 weeks
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am-4.30pm and Friday 8.00am-12.30pm
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming deliveries, checking quantities and part numbers against the in-house system.
- Report shortages, damaged goods, short shelf-life products or other discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager.
- Prepare and kit materials ready for production, ensuring correct stock rotation and accurate stock control.
- Support stock audits and monitor product shelf life using the in-house system.
- Package finished goods securely and arrange dispatch through approved carriers.
- Keep the stores area clean, organised and free from hazards, following all Health & Safety, COSHH and manual-handling procedures.
- Use the company vehicle when required to deliver goods to couriers or customers.
- Ensure packaging, pallets, cable reels and other waste are disposed of safely and legally.
- Maintain clear communication with the Purchasing Manager and other departments.
Personal qualities:
- Minimum of GCSE in Mathematics and English.
- Computer skills for data entry on in-house system.
- Ability to communicate to a high level, to listen, understand and carry out instructions, both independently and as part of the team.
- Full driving licence (Clean preferred).
- Excellent attendance and punctuality with a flexible approach.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
