Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an M E T (Mechanical, Electrical, Trim) Technician at our Leicester bodyshop. The M E T Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to support collision repair processes. Day‑to‑day tasks include disassembly/reassembly of mechanical and electrical components, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry standards. The role involves working with both private and fleet vehicles.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair and Heavy Equipment handling
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and experience operating forklifts
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide updates
- Ability to adhere to quality and safety standards in a fast‑paced environment
- Relevant qualifications in automotive repair and familiarity with bodyshop processes
- Experience with manufacturer‑approved repairs is an asset
- Holder of a valid UK driving license
