About us
Named as one of the top SME suppliers to government by the Cabinet Office, Fivium is universally well respected for both our SaaS correspondence handling platform (eCase) and our digital development services. Our tireless customer focus coupled with our dedication to delivering excellence means that our services are setting the benchmark across the industry and driving significant organic growth; however, we recognise that this is only possible because of our very talented and engaged team, which is our most precious and prized asset, so at Fivium our people come first - always.
About the role
As a New Business Account Executive at Fivium, you will be responsible for driving net new SaaS revenue growth within the UK Public Sector - with a particular focus on (but not limited to) Local Government, Police and NHS markets. You will manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting and cold outreach through to deal closure - before seamlessly handing over new customers to our Account Management team to continue adding value. You will leverage your SaaS sales experience, consultative approach and ability to work smart with AI tools (where necessary) to uncover, engage and convert high-value opportunities. We are looking for a self-starter who is driven by success, thrives in a collaborative and coaching-led environment and contributes positively to our culture as we continue to scale.
Core duties and responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify and close new SaaS business opportunities within (but not limited to) Local Government, Police and NHS sectors.
- Own the full sales cycle - from initial outreach to contract signature - ensuring smooth handover to the Account Management team thereafter.
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers across departments, understanding their challenges and demonstrating the value of Fivium's solutions.
- Execute structured sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger, or similar) and maintain high standards of deal control.
- Use CRM (HubSpot) effectively for pipeline management, forecasting and maintaining excellent data hygiene.
- Collaborate with Marketing to drive and subsequently convert targeted campaigns into qualified opportunities.
- Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, personalise outreach and manage deal intelligence efficiently.
- Provide structured and data-backed forecasts to leadership.
- Conduct deal reviews both pre and/or post-sale to help inform product development teams.
- Share market intelligence and feedback to help shape product strategy and go-to-market plans.
- Champion Fivium's values, contribute to a high-performing supportive team culture and act as a role model for coachability and continuous improvement.
What you bring to the team
- 5+ years of SaaS sales experience, ideally (but not essentially) selling to public sector organisations.
- A serial track record of securing net new business in competitive markets.
- Experience managing end-to-end sales cycles, from cold outreach through to closure.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement, frameworks and compliance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with credibility across operational and executive levels.
- Familiarity with structured sales frameworks (e.g. MEDDPICC, Challenger, Command of the Message or similar).
- A proactive, coachable mindset - eager to learn, share and develop within a collaborative environment.
- Comfort with using AI and automation to work smart and enhance efficiency.
- A genuine drive to win, grow and help shape the next phase of Fivium's journey.
What you will be accountable for
- Achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual new business ARR targets.
- Creating and maintaining a robust pipeline of self-generated qualified opportunities.
- Accurate and timely forecasting of deal progression.
- High levels of CRM accuracy and deal documentation.
- Contributing to the development of go-to-market playbooks for Local Government, Police and NHS sectors.
- Managing your own book of business by monitoring your leading indicators in the pipeline and acting accordingly.
