North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a permanent Field Service Engineer to join our team in Pinson, AL. North American Construction Services (HQ: Pinson / Birmingham, AL) is a dynamic subsidiary of Fives North American Combustion (HQ: Cleveland) and the renowned Fives Group (HQ: Paris). With over five decades of pioneering contributions, we proudly execute innovative engineering, fabrication, and construction in the field of industrial thermal processes.

Your role will be:

• Analyse the customer site situation, assemble information from the customer regarding the open issues, and create a plan to remedy identified opportunities.
• Responsible for commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting a variety of combustion systems.
• Be able to navigate through PLC and HMI programs, making program changes with the supervision of the control group.
• Identify code compliance deviations and draft code compliance letters as required.
• Assign quotes, create project folders, estimate, generate proposals, JSA’s, and project books for field services.
• Support external and internal sales opportunities.

Availability to travel, up to 80%.

Work experience with equipment troubleshooting or commissioning.

Demonstrated hands-on mechanical and electrical system work.

Understanding of reading drawings and developing BOMs for costing.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial process control or a related field, or a combination of training and experience that provides equivalent skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology, or equivalent experience.
