NORTH AMERICAN CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, LTD. is hiring a permanent Field Service Technician to join our team in Pinson, AL. North American Construction Services (HQ: Pinson/Birmingham, AL) is a dynamic subsidiary of Fives North American Combustion (HQ: Cleveland) and the renowned Fives Group (HQ: Paris). With over five decades of pioneering contributions, we proudly execute innovative engineering, fabrication, and construction in the field of industrial thermal processes.
Your role will be:
- Assist Engineers onsite as the second technician to support more complex service work
- Work under supervision while developing skills for solo service on smaller, more basic jobs
- Provide electrical and mechanical support during equipment troubleshooting or commissioning
- Assist with fuel train assembly, testing, and other shop tasks when not in the field
- Join site crews during component and electrical installation stages to gain experience and help free up Engineers
- Support external and internal sales opportunities

Requirements:
- Availability to travel, up to 80%
- Work experience with equipment troubleshooting or commissioning
- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical and electrical system work
- Understanding of reading drawings and developing BOMs for costing
- Electrical competency required; will receive training
- Multi-role flexibility with willingness to learn and assist in shop and field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial process control or directly related field
- Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology preferred
