Fives Landis Ltd. is actively seeking an Assembly Fitter to join its teams in Cross Hills, West Yorkshire, UK. At Fives, we are all driven by a common calling, to prove that industry can do it! We are currently seeking a Full-Time, Permanent Assembly Fitter, who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it! Your role will be to:
- Build precision mechanisms to a high standard, in an efficient manner.
- Assemble components/machines on time, to the right quality and on budget.
- Work on new machines, refurbishment projects and Aftermarket orders.
- Liaise with other departments to meet the build schedule and customer requirements.
- Always follow best practice Health & Safety procedures to keep self and others safe.
- Be open to change and focused on continuous improvement.
We are seeking someone who is:
- An apprentice-served machine tool/mechanical engineer, with an interest in engineering and manufacturing.
- Competent in using precision assembly techniques; with attention to detail.
- Able to read, understand and follow engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience of working to lean manufacturing methodologies, eg. 5S, 6 Sigma, root cause analysis etc.
