Five Education is looking for a Teacher who can deliver to a small class of secondary‑age children diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Some children also have additional needs with their communication and social abilities. The school, located in Templecombe, offers on‑site parking and is accessible by public transport.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom teaching to children with ASD, using autism‑friendly teaching methods.
  • Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance ASD pedagogy.

Qualifications

  • Previous classroom teaching experience in primary, secondary or FE settings.
  • Right to work in the UK; we cannot offer sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas.
  • Can provide two recent references (from the last two years).
  • Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
  • When not holding a Non‑Voluntary Enhanced DBS, the cost of £62.70 will be refunded after 20 days of employment.

We provide training and support for those new to teaching children with ASD. All successful applicants will undergo reference checks, TRA checks and a DBS check as part of the vetting process.

Salary is competitive and based on experience. Pay is released via PAYE with no administrative or employer’s NI fees, and includes holiday pay.
