We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a supportive and well‑resourced school in Bristol. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Both full‑time and part‑time opportunities may be available.

Salary: £190‑220 per day.

Start Date: Friday 23rd January 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Deliver creative and differentiated classes to small groups of students with high needs.
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement EHCP targets.
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment that promotes progress and wellbeing.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents and carers where appropriate.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND (mainstream or specialist settings).
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to teaching.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Right to work in the UK – no sponsorship or skilled worker visa will be offered.
  • Ability to provide two recent references (from the last two years).
  • Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
  • If you do not have a Non‑Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will assist with processing a new one at a cost of £62.70, which will be refunded after 20 days of work.
