Join Our Friendly Early Years Team

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery setting in Long Ashton.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start. The successful candidate will primarily be based within our Toddler Room, supporting children to learn, develop and thrive through engaging play and high-quality interactions. However, flexibility is essential as you may be required to work across different age groups and rooms when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all children.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support learning and development.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Observe, assess and record children's progress in line with the EYFS framework.
• Support children's emotional wellbeing, independence and social development.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and childcare practice.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the nursery.

Requirements

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent recognised childcare qualification).
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Experience working with children in an early years setting.
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

You will be passionate about giving children the very best start in life and able to create warm, engaging learning experiences. Whilst your main base will be the Toddler Room, you'll be comfortable supporting across the nursery and adapting to changing daily needs.

Essential Criteria

• Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30
• Right to work in the UK – we CANNOT accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
• Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
• Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one*
• Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
