Company Description: 525 is a design studio based in South-West London and we are looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our friendly team on a full-time, in-house basis. Since its inception over 22 years ago, 525 has primarily serviced the fun and energetic world of book publishing. We have built an impressive client base of industry leaders such as Penguin, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Hachette and Bloomsbury, and we pride ourselves on being trusted by the industry and on the reputation we have built within it for both quality and efficiency.

Role Description: This is an entry level role and would suit a recent graduate. As a Junior Designer at 525, you will be an integral part of our collaborative, multi-disciplined design team and you will work across a wide variety of projects with a reactive work ethic. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite – predominantly InDesign and Photoshop. It would be an excellent opportunity for anyone with a passion for books and literature, and anyone with an eagerness to learn and develop their design skills.

Key Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • A degree in Graphic Design (or similar).
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a good understanding of design, including typography and layout.
  • Enthusiastic interest in design.
  • A proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop (as these will be your main tools), as well as some knowledge of the rest of the Adobe CC (Illustrator, Acrobat etc).
  • Good communication skills (our designers are client-facing).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to SW London daily.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
