We are actively seeking a Dishwasher to add to our team. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen and community has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. Your duties will include:
- Washing and inspecting all dishware and glassware.
- Storing clean utensils, dishes, and glassware in proper places.
- Keeping the dishwashing machine and dish room in clean operating condition.
- Promptly reporting any malfunctions or breakdowns of equipment to the Food Service Manager.
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen area and waitstaff station and cleaning filter over stove area.
- Delivering ice to the dining room.
- Assisting waitstaff with serving and bringing in dishes to the kitchen, when necessary.
- Delivering meals to residents in their apartments, when necessary.
- Performing assigned cleaning assignments according to established policies and utilizing the proper cleaning chemicals.
- Keeping work areas clean and uncluttered.
- Ensuring that dishes are readily available for the next meal.
- Storing dishes in the proper location in a way to prevent contamination.
Experience & Education
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to communicate effectively to fulfil position responsibilities.
- Able to read schedules, menus, and position-related instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, and communicate effectively with coworkers.
