We are looking to appoint a Finance Manager and join our finance team in the heart of Salisbury. As a Finance Manager at Five Rivers Child Care, you will oversee all end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. This role will also require you to support members of the finance team by completing supervisions and appraisals of all direct reports, as well as leading the team responsible for supporting payroll, VAT submissions, and other HMRC processes. You will be reporting to our Group Financial Controller.

Working at Head Office, you will have the flexibility to work in the office five days a week or take advantage of our flexible hybrid working arrangement from the comfort of your own home.

This is a full‑time role, 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Friday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Requirements for this role

  • Previously held a comparable role for at least a single entity and prior line management experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (Qualified or Part‑Qualified)
  • Creating statutory accounts and management accounts
  • Experience in running annual audits
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to seek continual improvements
