We believe exceptional care starts with exceptional learning — and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, confident In-House Trainer to help our people thrive. About The Role
As our In-House Trainer, you’ll deliver engaging, high-quality, mandatory training that equips staff with the skills, confidence, and understanding they need to support children safely, therapeutically, and effectively. This is a hands-on, people-facing role with plenty of variety. You’ll be out across our services, building relationships, sharing best practice, and seeing the direct impact of your work.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver instructor-led mandatory training including Proactive Approaches, Reporting & Recording, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), and additional courses as required.
- Prepare training materials, manage logistics, and complete associated administration.
- Evaluate training delivery and contribute to L&D metrics and KPIs.
- Complete competency assessments and produce data-based evaluation reports.
- Identify learning needs and support the design of new programmes.
- Ensure training aligns with organisational values, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support organisational induction days and management development programmes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience delivering face‑to‑face adult training (2–3 years+) or experience facilitating groups.
- Confident presentation skills and ability to engage learners with different styles.
- Ability to work independently and manage your diary.
- Strong communication skills, professional presence and the ability to answer learner questions confidently.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
- ‘Train the Trainer’ or PTLLS/AET qualification.
- Commitment to safeguarding, professional conduct, and continuous development.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
Desirable
- Experience in residential childcare, education, or safeguarding.
- Experience writing learning outcomes and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Instructor qualification in Emergency First Aid at Work.
Location
South of England (with regular travel to Salisbury).
Hours
Full‑time, Mon–Thu 9:00–17:00, Fri 9:00–16:30.
