We are recruiting a Supervising Social Worker/Senior Practitioner to join our fostering service based in Basildon, Essex, on a full-time basis. Our service covers London and the surrounding counties per our growth and development strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with our foster carers within a realistic caseload, enabling a high level of supervision, monitoring and intervention.
- Engage positively with foster carers and children using a trauma-informed practice model (ATIC).
- Be involved in recruitment events for prospective fostering families, completing Form F assessments and supporting participation events for our young people.
- Collaborate with colleagues and managers to achieve a high standard of service to foster carers and young people while meeting all Ofsted requirements.

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 4:30pm. You will also be participating in our out-of-hours duty line, supporting our foster carers on a rota basis. Although we would like to see you in the office, we are able to support hybrid working when agreed with our service manager.

You will have
- The desire to be a team player who wants to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our children and foster carers.
- Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people in social care.
- A formal social work qualification.
- Be registered as a social worker with Social Work England.
- Have a valid driving licence.
- The right to work in the UK.
