Start the Next Chapter of Your Teaching Career with Five Rivers Child Care

Have you ever looked around your classroom and wished you had more time to support the pupils who need you most? At 1ACE South, you can.

We are looking for a committed and creative teacher to join our school-without-walls provision based in West Moors, Ferndown. Supporting young people across East Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and parts of Poole, you will deliver personalised education programmes in our base community settings as well as in the community and other outreach settings.

Many of the pupils we work with remain on roll at mainstream schools but have experienced disrupted attendance and engagement. Through bespoke, trauma-informed learning packages, we help them re-engage with education, while supporting reintegration into mainstream school or transition to specialist provision where appropriate.

This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships and see the direct impact of your work. With the time and flexibility to focus on individual needs, you will help remove barriers to learning and enable young people to achieve their full potential and celebrate successes that may previously have seemed out of reach.

You will join an experienced and supportive team within our 1ACE (Another Chance Education) provision, where children and young people are respected, listened to and actively involved in decisions about their education. Working closely with families and professionals, you will play a key role in achieving positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable young people in our communities.

In return, we offer ongoing professional development, therapeutic and trauma-informed training, and the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a leading alternative education provider.
