Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – 1 Ace South
1 Ace South | Term time | 37.5 hours per week
Help Young People Reconnect with Learning and Build Confidence
Have you ever wished you had more time to support the pupils who need you most? At 1ACE South, you can.
We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school-without-walls provision based in West Moors, Ferndown. Working across East Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and parts of Poole, you will support young people through personalised education programmes delivered in our base as well as in the community and other outreach settings.
Many of the pupils we support remain on roll at mainstream schools but have experienced disrupted attendance and engagement. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will help young people overcome barriers to learning, rebuild confidence and re-engage with education through bespoke, therapeutic programmes tailored to their individual needs.
This is a highly rewarding role, offering the opportunity to build trusted relationships and make a genuine difference to the lives of young people. With the time and flexibility to work closely with individuals, you will help unlock potential and celebrate successes that may previously have seemed out of reach.
Using trauma-informed and therapeutically informed practice, you will provide consistent support within a compassionate team that values the voices of children and young people. We work closely with families and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes and are committed to investing in your training, development and long-term career.
