Start your career with our school as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in Salisbury, Wiltshire. You will work with an experienced team in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support our teachers by assisting in the classrooms and in the community while following a flexible structure and supporting our children and young people to unlock their passion for learning. You will be based in our Ofsted registered school and, when required, support 1 ACE provision locally.

1 ACE (Another Chance Education) is our alternative education provision, which works with children and young people who struggle in their formal or specialised education settings; we offer education on an outreach basis or within one of our Ofsted registered a school.

You will work within a Trauma-informed practice model where we can support and follow a therapeutic practice.

Our leadership team will invest in your progression as a professional in the Education sector. We source and deliver up-to-date training opportunities and prioritise and discuss your personal development goals to ensure you get the most out of your career.

Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we seek dedicated people who want to continue their careers with a therapeutically based organisation and leading alternative education provision.

Term Time: This is in line with Wiltshire\’s local authority.

Our full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 4:30 pm.

The role is full-time over five days per week, however, if you would like the opportunity for part-time or compressed hours, we would be happy to speak to you about this.

Requirements

  • Good written and IT skills.
  • Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers.
  • Able to actively listen to others.
  • Valid Driving Licence – this is desirable for this role
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
