We are looking for a Lead Teacher to join our friendly team at our 1ACE provisions based in Rotherham/Sheffield at the site of Gulliver’s. In this role, you would be expected to ensure all children and young people within our care are secure and receive the best possible educational provision and outcomes. This opportunity will see the successful candidate be able to develop and promote an ‘offer’ that will make best use of the immediate surroundings. The site is based in woodland on the land at Gulliver’s theme park and comprises of 6 cabins with toilets, showers, an office and kitchen. Opportunities are vast and we are looking for the creative ‘spark’ that would give Five Rivers education something unique. Areas such as the arts or forest school would have an enormous amount of potential based on this site.
Working alongside the Head of Field Gate School in Doncaster, you will promote outstanding performance, ensure the education provision is inclusive, practical, and innovative, develop 1ACE outreach improvement plans and ensure their implementation is successful.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Working with children with Social, Emotional, Behavioural and additional needs
- Ensuring high‑quality outcomes for pupils across the school’s age range by developing an outstanding provision
- Line management of Learning Support staff
- Secure and sustain effective teaching and learning throughout the school
- Robust baseline, assessing and tracking traditional and non‑traditional curriculums and learning programmes
- Working with internal colleagues, critical friends, parents and clinicians, as well as the network of external colleagues in Local Authority SEN teams
- High levels of self‑reflection, motivation to improve practice and a solution‑focused, positive approach to operational challenges
- Experience being a successful Leader in Education, working within a Special Education Setting (SEMH/SpLD)
- Experience of working in Safeguarding and Child protection
- Experience of working with a range of students, and Ofsted inspection processes and an ability to work successfully and collaboratively

Requirements
- Good written and IT skills
- Ability to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers
- Ability to actively listen to others
- NQTS or QTS registration
- Valid Driving Licence – essential for this role
