We are looking for Deputy Managers to join our Residential Children Services in Salisbury. Our homes vary from a one-bed property to a six-bed property, and our children are aged between 6 and 12 on admission.
You will be an experienced Deputy Manager working in an environment and culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible. As Deputy Manager, you will support the registered manager in the day-to-day running of the home, support the continued development of a team of Residential Child Care Workers who help and support our children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma, using our trauma-informed practices, which are embedded within our culture.

Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for a committed and dedicated Deputy Manager. You’ll be a natural at building a rapport with children and someone full of empathy, so you can understand and relate to the young people you work with.
You will need to have at least 2 years’ experience of being a Deputy Manager working in a Children’s Residential Setting, hold your level 5 in leadership and management or be prepared to work toward it, is desirable a minimum of Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Work Force, have a proven track record with Ofsted, Legislative Framework. Due to the location of the Home a Driving Licence is essential.

Hours: On average 39 hours a week on a Rota Basis – some flexibility will be needed to ensure the smooth running of the home. You will split your shifts 80% working on shift with our young people and 20% administration hours. You will be required to do sleep ins whilst on shift, you will get paid an additional £50 per sleep in.
