We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join our 1 Ace Provision in Ilford, London. You will be working with an experienced team and in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
As an HLTA, your day will be varied and interesting; you will be able to support our teachers by assisting in the classrooms or out in the community, whilst following a flexible structure and supporting our children and young people to unlock their passion for learning.
1 ACE (Another Chance Education) is our alternative education provision, which works with children and young people who struggle in their formal or specialised education settings; we offer education on an outreach basis or within one of our Ofsted registered schools. You will work within a Trauma-informed practice model where we can support and follow a therapeutic practice.

We are a small and friendly team based in the vibrant community of Ilford, London. Our school Endeavour House is a special educational needs school (SEN) with a unique, relaxed, and focused atmosphere. Our goal is to create a learning environment where emotional well-being and academic success walk together, enabling each child to succeed. We work with children with social, emotional, and emerging mental health needs.
Hours
- Term Time, this goes in line with the local authority.
- Our full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 am - 4:30 pm.
- The role is full-time over 5 days per week; however, if you would like the opportunity for part-time or compressed hours, we would be happy to speak to you about this.
