We are currently seeking an experienced Tiler to join a repairs and maintenance team, carrying out tiling works across residential and commercial properties throughout East and South Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Tiler looking for ongoing work, with a work van provided for travel between sites.

The Role

The successful Tiler will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of tiled surfaces across a range of properties. This will include routine repairs, replacement works and emergency tiling tasks, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, levelling and applying adhesives.
  • Measure and cut tiles accurately to fit specific areas.
  • Install wall and floor tiles in bathrooms, kitchens and other areas.
  • Grout and seal tiled surfaces to provide a durable and waterproof finish.
  • Repair and replace damaged or broken tiles.
  • Inspect tiled surfaces and identify necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used and time spent.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety requirements and company policies.
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service when working in residents' and customers' properties.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and address any concerns professionally.
  • Keep up to date with tiling techniques, materials and best practices.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours emergency repair rota where required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Wall and Floor Tiling.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Proven experience as a Tiler within construction, social housing, repairs or maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of tiling techniques, materials and best practices.
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut and install tiles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • DBS check required.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, totalling 40 hours per week, with a 60-minute unpaid break.

Pay & Benefits

£20 - £23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Work van provided. Ongoing work available. Opportunity to work within an established repairs and maintenance environment.
