We are recruiting for an experienced Income Maximisation Officer to join a Local Authority Housing Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising rental income through effective rent collection, arrears management, welfare benefits advice and proactive support to tenants across a range of housing portfolios and tenures. This is a customer-focused role requiring someone who can balance effective income recovery with a supportive, person-centred approach to tenants who may be experiencing financial difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage rent arrears cases and ensure rent is paid and arrears are reduced through effective income recovery procedures.
- Provide advice and assistance to tenants regarding welfare benefits, Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.
- Carry out home visits and face-to-face engagement with tenants.
