Working under the guidance of the class teacher, you will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and build confidence in a structured and nurturing environment. The role may involve a combination of 1:1 and small group support, depending on the needs of the students. No prior experience is required, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. We are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive, resilient, and confident in supporting students with additional needs and, at times, challenging behaviour.

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to provide relevant references and complete DBS/police checks (support can be provided)

If you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of lessons in a way that is engaging and accessible
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Support the development of communication, social, and life skills
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

Essential Criteria

  • A positive, empathetic, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and commitment to a full-time role

  • Free DBS (refunded when you work 20 days)
  • Recommending a friend bonus scheme
  • Specialist support/mentoring while you are working
  • Pay this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
