We are seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Peasedown, working within a mainstream setting with SEN responsibilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator or a teacher with a strong interest in behaviour and inclusion to make a real difference supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons within a mainstream classroom
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage and support behaviour effectively using a consistent and nurturing approach
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships and engage pupils who may struggle in traditional settings
  • A flexible and proactive mindset
