Five Education is looking for a teacher to teach a special class in a mainstream primary school in Ilminster, the role starts as soon as possible. The students in the class all have an EHCP with a range of identified SEMH needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering materials to a small class, ensuring outcomes are met and tailoring activities to meet the individual needs of the children. This will be through a therapeutic and nurturing approach guided by the students' interests and the National Curriculum. You will be working with a specialized team of support staff and multi-professionals to ensure pupils' needs are fulfilled and strategies are put into place.
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified teacher with significant SEND/ SEMH experience and would be comfortable leading a team of experienced staff.
Essential Criteria- QTS
- Experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Relevant references and DBS/police checks, if required
- Availability to work five days a week (term time only)
*If you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of Β£62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
