Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? Do you lead with care, patience, and understanding? We are looking for an Educational Support Worker to join a special school in Trowbridge, helping pupils feel safe, supported, and able to reach their potential. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be working closely with pupils with a range of SEND needs, supporting both their learning and personal development in a nurturing and structured environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
  • Helping students with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
  • Providing personal care as a core part of the role (e.g. toileting and hygiene)
  • Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

  • Experience with SEND (formal or informal-care, support work, or personal experience is valued)
  • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
  • Confidence and willingness to provide personal care

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview.
