Five Education is looking for a SEND Nursery Practitioner to join one of our supportive and inclusive early years settings. This role involves working with children aged 2-5 who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, speech and language delays, and social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
You will play a vital role in supporting the children\’s learning, development, and well-being in a safe, stimulating environment. The successful candidate will be joining a passionate and collaborative team, committed to inclusive practice and child-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and group support for children with SEND
Implement tailored learning and development activities
Assist in creating a nurturing and structured environment
Work closely with the SENCO and wider nursery team
Support communication, social development, and self-help skills
Track progress and contribute to EHCP reviews where applicable
Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times
Requirements:
Experience working with children in an early years or SEND setting
A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above preferred)
Knowledge of common SEND such as autism, ADHD, or global developmental delay
A calm, positive, and adaptable attitude
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
