This role will involve working closely with students who have additional needs, such as ASC, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, or SEMH challenges. You may sometimes be providing one-to-one support for a specific child and at other times be working more generally across the classroom to help all students access the curriculum. Patience, flexibility and strong communication skills are key, as is a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's learning and well-being.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support students 1:1 or in small groups, adapting tasks to meet their individual needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to provide consistent support
  • Help students develop confidence, communication skills and independence
  • Ensure students are safe and supported during play and lunchtime

Essential Criteria:

  • Empathetic, patient and passionate about supporting children
  • Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:30 (term-time only)
  • Right to work in the UK - we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas
  • Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years)
  • Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one

Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
