We are seeking a calm, compassionate, and highly committed Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil at a welcoming, inclusive, and forward-thinking primary school in Frome.

With supportive staff and excellent facilities, this school offers an inspiring environment in which to make a real impact.

This role centres on delivering consistent, individualised support that empowers the pupil to thrive in a nurturing, secure, and engaging learning environment.

Full-time availability is preferred but not essential.

Main Responsibilities Provide targeted one-to-one support tailored to the pupil's individual learning, social, and emotional needs.

Build a trusting, positive, and motivational relationship to help the pupil develop confidence and make meaningful progress.

Collaborate proactively with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement effective behaviour support and personalised learning strategies.

Ensure the pupil always feels heard, understood, respected, and valued.

What We're Looking For Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or in a similar support role.

A strong commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality, child-centred support.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff and families.

Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one**Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70.
