About the Role
We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in the BS13 area. This role involves working with pupils across Key Stages 1 to 4 with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people, supporting them to achieve their full potential in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet a wide range of complex needs
- Teach and support pupils with ASC and PMLD using appropriate strategies and interventions
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupil development
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress
- Support communication, sensory needs, and physical development where required
- Foster independence, social skills, and emotional well-being
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly ASC and/or PMLD (preferred)
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and inclusive practice
- Is patient, adaptable, and resilient, with a positive and nurturing approach
- Is confident working across KS1–KS4
- Has excellent communication skills and works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Is committed to improving outcomes for pupils with complex needs

- Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30

- Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one
