Five Education is looking for a Teacher who can deliver to a small class of secondary-age children who have been diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Some of the children also have additional needs with their communication and social abilities. The school is based in Weston-super-Mare.
The successful candidate will have classroom teaching experience and a developed understanding of autism-friendly teaching methods. You will be eager to develop your pedagogy by learning more about ASD. Teaching materials and resources are provided. However, the school encourages individuality, therefore you are welcome to adapt learning materials to make your lessons outstanding.
The person chosen for this role may have previously been a primary/secondary/FE teacher. They will benefit from training and support whilst working with Five Education. The school has a supportive staff cohort and good facilities. There is a strong ethos of fostering ambition and achievement within every person in the school.
The successful candidate will benefit from a pay rate dependent on experience. If you are compassionate, patient and have a proven track record of motivating children and young people through their studies then we want to hear from you.
Salary: £130-180 per day
Essential requirements:
- Previous classroom teaching experience
- Right to work in the UK - we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas.
- Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).
- Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview.
