Responsibilities

  • Assist with the direction of the Front End Lead(s) (if applicable) and sales associates under the Store Manager/Leader and Customer Service Manager.
  • Own key functions of the store as directed and strive to “Wow the Customer” through front-end operations, cash handling, cleanliness, safety, and driving sales.
  • As a Manager on Duty, deliver results during assigned time, lead through the team, and model Five Below leadership behaviors.
  • Lead and participate in the Five Below values: Wow the Customer; Unleash Passion; Hold the Penny Hostage; Achieve the Impossible; Work Hard, Have Fun, Build a Career.
  • Ensure associates and managers are delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining store standards.
  • Train and develop staff on customer service principles and store procedures.
  • Maintain fast, friendly checkout, store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness for customers.
  • Open and close store procedures; supervise operations; support in payroll processes and store metrics.
  • Assist in merchandising, receiving, stocking, and queue merchandising; participate in driving key metrics (Sales, CSAT, ADS, and Expense Control).
  • Perform store maintenance and ensure compliance with SOPs; handle cash processes, deposits, and register transactions as applicable.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task and think creatively.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and lead a team effectively.
  • Professionalism, organization, and strong customer service orientation.
