Five is at the forefront of European efforts to develop automated driving systems. Building on our heritage and unique experience as a pioneer in this space, we are taking what we have learned from conducting groundbreaking public road trials of autonomous vehicles to inform a robust safety assurance platform that helps tackle one of the industry's most complex challenges.

Now, as part of Bosch Mobility, we are driving innovation within the Automated Driving Alliance – a strategic partnership between Bosch and Volkswagen Group's CARIAD. We are leading the efforts to create, manage, and evaluate cloud-based simulation within a state-of-the-art standardised software platform, enabling our automotive partners to build automated driving systems that are safer, smarter, and more scalable than ever before.

We’re engineers, scientists, developers, and designers. We’re problem-solvers, dreamers, pioneers, innovators, creatives and pragmatists. We’re hard-working people, solving far-reaching challenges.

About the Team

You’ll join a dynamic and highly collaborative Shared Services team, reporting to the Head of People and Talent. We are a low-ego, friendly, and supportive group, committed to creating an exceptional employee experience. In this role, you'll have the autonomy to lead your core responsibilities, while also working within People Operations and engaging directly with our Senior Leadership Team. Your contributions will be instrumental in fostering a productive and engaging workplace for everyone at Five.

What You Will Do

We're seeking a highly organised and people-focused Workplace Experience Manager to own the core elements that keep our Cambridge office productive, safe, and engaged. This is a broad and hands‑on role that covers facilities, office management, health & safety, company events, and People Operations support.

You’ll be the go‑to person for everything related to the employee experience at our Cambridge site, ensuring the office runs smoothly, onboarding is seamless, events are meaningful, and day-to-day needs are met. You’ll collaborate closely with People Operations and leadership to build a workplace that is efficient, compliant, and a great place to be.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, facilities, office management, or workplace experience roles.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable with hands‑on tasks and coordinating with multiple vendors and teams.
  • Basic technical knowledge (hardware setups, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, AV tools).
  • Experience in fast‑paced or scaling environments is a plus.
  • Experience working in or closely with People Operations teams in a start‑up environment would also be desirable.

Nice to Have

  • First Aid, Fire, IOSH & NEBOSH Health & Safety certifications.
  • Experience with office or hybrid team environments.
  • Comfort with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Teams, HRIS systems, or inventory trackers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilities & Office Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Cambridge office, including supplies, maintenance, utilities, and space planning. Act as the primary liaison with landlords, building management, and office service vendors.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Proactively own office health & safety programmes, risk assessments, and emergency procedures. Ensure compliance with local workplace regulations and with Bosch regulations.
  • Culture & Events: Lead, plan, and execute company‑wide events (offsites, regular socials, team lunches, celebrations) that contribute to our internal culture.
  • People Operations Support: Seamlessly manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees. Support the People team with ad‑hoc projects such as employee documentation, and maintaining internal guides.
  • Ad Hoc Projects & Operations Support: Assist with the setup of laptops and essential equipment for new joiners and oversee the hardware inventory.

Five provides an environment where you can develop your skills and deliver meaningful work that matters. Where you can have a real impact in a smart, low‑ego multi‑cultural team. As part of Bosch Mobility, we fuel the ideas of tomorrow and improve the technology of today. You’ll be rewarded with a competitive salary and financial package, including pension and private medical care.

Five are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity through attracting and retaining a complementary team of employees and building an inclusive environment for all.
