About the Team

The position will be within our Applied Research team led by Dr. Puneet Dokania. The group has been actively conducting and publishing state-of-the-art research in machine learning while also playing a crucial role in building the future of autonomous driving within Bosch. Our focus is to develop cutting-edge technologies to enable driverless cars. One example project can be looking into different aspects of building accurate, efficient, and reliable Vision-Language-Action models for driving in urban scenarios. We also regularly publish numerous high-quality papers at top tier conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TMLR) and would like you to be involved in the process. Responsibilities

  • You will hold a Masters or a PhD in computer vision, machine learning, or a closely related field.
  • You will support machine learning development by building and maintaining a modern MLOps stack using services like Kubernetes, Docker and cloud services such as Azure. An experience of 2+ years on this would be preferable, However, fresh graduates with solid academics and highly motivated to work and build on these tools will also be considered.
  • Experience in pre-training, fine-tuning and benchmarking large-scale machine learning models is preferable.
  • You are a competent programmer, preferably in Python. Experience with popular machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with other researchers and engineers.
  • Though not mandatory, a strong publication record in top-quality venues (e.g. CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, etc.) will strengthen your application.

You are a scientist who is also keen to do engineering work (e.g., MLOps) to support scientific progress in building innovative products.
