Due to the expansion of Fitzwaryn into a satellite site on the site of St John’s Academy in Grove in September 2026, Propeller Academy Trust is looking to hire a dedicated and passionate teacher. Located in the heart of Wantage, Fitzwaryn School is highly regarded as an outstanding provision for educating children and young people aged 3-19 with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound & multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and autism (ASD). - Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ developmental needs
- Use assessment effectively to inform teaching, interventions and personalised progress

- Work closely with therapists, support staff and families to provide holistic support
- Contribute to whole-school development and our inclusive, forward-thinking ethos
- Engage in professional learning and share best practice across the school
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and proven ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of individual needs (MLD, SLD, PMLD, Autism)
- Experience or strong understanding of how children and young people with SEND learn, including theory and best practice
- Experience or strong understanding of working with pupils with EHCPs
- Knowledge of current SEN legislation, statutory guidance relating to SEND, safeguarding and the curriculum
- Creative, adaptable and committed to the ethos, values and inclusive vision of the school
- A resilient, positive team player who builds strong relationships with pupils and families
- Strong sense of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality
- A reflective and proactive practitioner with a growth mindset
